Jason Probst
Director of Circles of Hope - Reno County
At the beginning of May 2023, we were very pleased to welcome Jason Probst as Executive Director of Circles of Hope Reno County! When Jason isn’t working or hanging out with his son, Mitch, daughter, Erica, or granddaughters, Lila and Violet, there's a good chance you'll find him riding his bicycle!
Since 2015, Jason has ridden his bike across Kansas - trekking roughly 500 miles from one end of the state to the other. Jason enjoys |
reading good books and writing about current events or interesting places in Kansas. He also enjoys cooking - and eating!
During the winter months Jason travels to Topeka, where he represents the 102nd District in the Kansas House of Representatives. He also serves on the House Commerce, Labor, and Economic Development and Agriculture Committees.
Jason likes to stay involved in our community and state. He is a member of the Kansas Geological Survey Advisory Committee (Kansas geology is fascinating!), the Governor’s Council on Travel and Tourism, and the Governor’s Council on Wildfire. He also serves as a board member for the Hutchinson Milestone Club and is Vice-Chair of Biking Across Kansas.
Previously, Jason worked as a designer, reporter, and eventually led the editorial team at The Hutchinson News. The staff won numerous awards for reporting on local and state government, environmental issues, investigative stories, as well as agricultural and community journalism.
