Trinity has numerous opportunities for every age to share their gifts through music.

Sanctuary Choir

Sanctuary Choir

Trinity’s Sanctuary Choir leads worship at the 8:45 a.m. service. This group enjoys singing musical styles from Gregorian chant to modern anthems—with an emphasis on traditional choral music. The choir also presents special services and concerts throughout the year and provides opportunities to have fun through social activities. 

The Sanctuary Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m., mid–August through June.

Contemporary Praise band

Praise Team

This group features a mix of vocalists and instrumentalists that leads worship at Higher Ground each Sunday at 10:45 a.m. This talented and committed group is open to high school students and adults. The Praise Team is always looking for musicians who want to serve the Lord using less traditional music. Rehearsals are held year-round on Thursday evenings.

Bell Choir

Tower Bells is our hand bell choir for experienced adult ringers. This group plays five octaves at level 3 and above. A strong performance-oriented hand bell choir, Tower Bells enjoys the intricacies and challenges of a more difficult repertoire. Rehearsal time is Thursdays at 6 p.m. In addition to playing monthly in church, this ensemble also leads worship for holiday services and performs concerts in the community.

Meet the Director

Randy Doerksen, ​Coordinator of Music Ministries

I joined the ministry team at Trinity in June 2014 and serve as the Coordinator of Music Ministries. I lead worship services by directing the Trinity Sanctuary Choir, Tower Bells, and the Higher Ground Praise Team.

I am also invested in children’s education in our community, retiring as Principal of Plum Creek Elementary School in Buhler in 2017 and returning to the public school system in 2018 as Music Teacher. I have a great love of music, children and teaching!
