100 years of history

Our story

In 1920, plans for a new Methodist church in Hutchinson took root. A tract of land was purchased at 16th and Main for $4,250, and in 1923, a temporary structure went up in four days in time for a visit from the bishop. A permanent sanctuary was dedicated in 1926, and since then, Trinity has undergone at least 5 major expansion projects and survived and thrived through natural disasters, the Great Depression, World War II, and a shifting religious landscape. Trinity's motto is "Love God Love People," and as always, the modern church supports not only its congregants but the community as a whole.

Final Video: Who We Are

The video
series

As part of a year-long celebration of its Centennial in 2023, Trinity commissioned a 13-part video series to document its 100-year history, honor current worship and service programs, and explore future plans. The project was spearheaded by then-pastor Michael Thomson-DeGreeff and primarily written and narrated by lay leader Stan Hill. We hope you enjoy watching!
