Rev. Michael McGuire

Rev. Michael L. McGuire came to Trinity as our Senior Pastor beginning July 1, 2012. Mike and his wife, Sara, are both native Kansans. Mike was the son of a traveling teacher and lived all his childhood and youth in western Kansas, with his home town considered to be Utica. Sara was a native of Winfield Kansas. They share seven grown children and twelve grandchildren. They both love the outdoors, golf, and grandkids (not necessarily in that order).

Pastor Mike’s career (after HCCJC, Kansas Wesleyan, and St. Paul School of Theology, Seminary) began as a Chaplain at Kansas Wesleyan University, but soon moved to the local church where he has served at Canton/Galva, College Hill (Wichita), Winfield (Grace), El Dorado (First), Garden City (First), Wichita (Bethany), Scott City (First), and El Dorado (First, re-cycled). He has served on the Board of Ordained Ministry, Conference Camping Commission, Hispanic Task Force, CCYM, numerous District committees and most recently served as the Chairperson of the Area United Methodist Campus Ministries committee. He has actively been part of the Disciple Bible study, Stephen Ministries, Emmaus Walk, and one Volunteer in Mission trip abroad (Honduras, 2006).

Pastor Mike is experienced as high energy, enthusiastic, positive and people oriented in his ministry. He loves to preach and pastor the people of God. Sara has a big heart and has interest in the Circles of Hope-Reno County initiative and other ministries of outreach and justice.
